Go Outdoors Review
Go Outdoors was founded more than 40 years ago in 1969 and started out as Sheffield’s “Camping and Caravanning Centre” or CCC to the locals. It initially started out in the manufacturing of trailer tents and camping furniture however following the growing popularity of camping in the 80s did it change its focus on to retail.
CCC became one of the first places to offer camping equipment, furniture, barbeques, gas and charcoal all in one place. The 90s saw extensive expansion in the product range to include clothing and footwear.
It wasn’t until the 00s that CCC expanded to 3 stores and the concept of Go Outdoors was established in Coventry in 2004. The success of the Coventry store led to the introduction of new departments such as cycling, fishing, running, riding and climbing and thus establishing one of the widest range of goods to be found.
Go Outdoors score 7.1 out of 10 on TrustPilot.co.uk an independent site listing reviews from verified buyers. This is not the greatest score in the world and a quick glance through the reviews will show that most of the perfect scores are down to the price match service they offer. The price match offer allows you to get an extra 10% discount if you find the same product cheaper elsewhere and so it’s no surprise that when someone saves extra money they will leave a positive review.
Go Outdoors offers a number of delivery options including free delivery when you spend £50 otherwise it will cost £4.95 for standard UK delivery.
We highly recommend and we consider it a necessity to purchase a discount card from them as it will entitle you to at least 10% off as well as the reserve and collect delivery option. The card will pay for itself as soon as you spend £50, so it’s well worth the money.
